I'm Michaela, queen of uncomfy, professional hype girl, and the first person who gets to stand in awe of a more sensually connected and self-accepting you. I'm into themed Disney movie nights, the way sun rays break through the clouds right after a storm, and the sound of the patriarchy crumbling as we break free from societal standards that were made only to enforce inferiority and keep us disconnected from our own power.
My passion is helping women escape the self-imprisonment that comes with feeling trapped in our bodies- a stranger to what is meant to be our most powerful partner, protector, and friend.
After years of photographing women in their most vulnerable states while studying women’s health through nursing, I’ve found the power of sensual self-connection through boudoir photography to be transformative when approached with the intention of healing the wounds brought onto the feminine from years of living under the control of hypermasculine societal expectations.
Sensual, emotive boudoir photography is so much more than beautiful booty pics- but of course that's part of the fun! I'm here to help you connect with your true self and finally break free from that inner mean girl- the one that's been a relentless bully, holding back the confident, self-nurturing, and powerful person that can only be unleashed after learning to love, accept, and nurture your true self. I see loving ourselves as the first step to becoming everything we dream of- bold, passionate, playful, free- and while we can’t heal every trauma that leads to every limiting belief you hold about yourself in one photo sesh, my intention is that you leave with a deeper understanding of how to give yourself the love you deserve through every impending step of your own evolution.
During the experience, every movement is guided, every expression is demonstrated, and every touch is intentional. This is for everyday women looking to get in touch with a new side of themselves- the one that's been hiding under the surface, just waiting for you to set her free.
As we practice moving emotional energy through the body with somatic movement and embodiment exercises, we deepen our connection and understanding for the way our bodies communicate the needs and desires of our true self. By creating space for the physical body and emotional self to explore each other’s mysterious divinity, the Sensual Embodiment Boudoir experience serves as a healing step towards a flourishing, accepting, and unconditionally loving relationship between the mind, body, and self.
